Mykonos is a popular island, for the rich and famous as well as backpackers, in the Greek Cyclades island chain. It is well known for crazy nights out and has a worldwide reputation for being a party island. Mykonos attracts the best DJs in the world for parties at clubs all summer. If you’re looking to party on a beach then look no further as the parties at Paradise Beach are world renowned. The old Myknonos town is beautiful with cobbled alleyways, blue and white buildings, windmills and fishing boats. It is also rather trendy, with swanky cocktail bars, boutique shops and top dining options. By day you will most likely laze on sun drenched beaches and by night, party until the sun comes up and then some. If you’re looking for beautiful beaches, fresh seafood, romantic resorts, and a crazy party scene then Mykonos is your spot. Unfortunately, it has become rather expensive, with prices now verging on Ibiza prices, so if you’re backpacking around the Greek Islands, expect to spend some of your budget partying. We think the price is worth how much fun it is!
Must See
Explore Mykonos Town - officially known as Chora, is the main village in Myknonos. Mykonos Town has the classic whitewashed homes, windmills, and cobbled, pedestrian only footpaths that lead to restaurants and boutique shops. There are plenty of cafes, bars and restaurants to check out.
Little Venice - Because the houses are on the water, this stretch of seaside restaurants and shops is referred to as Little Venice. It is a great spot for dinner, but beware of the pricing, and an evening stroll at sunset.
The Windmills - the iconic Myknonos windmills are the most popular spot on the island to catch a sunset.

Hang At The Beaches - The most popular beaches in Mykonos are Paradise, Super Paradise and Paranga. However there are tons of beaches and some prettier than others. Paradise Beach is very popular with tourists and backpackers and is full of them during the summer. The day parties here are usually wild.
Take a Tour - Myknonos has great Scuba and snorkeling where you can see a large variety of fish and even shipwrecks. Taking a boat tour either to party or sight see is also popular here and a great way to spend the day if you’re looking to do something other than hit the beach or party.
Nightlife
Mykonos nightlife is well-known around the world. Start the party during the day at one of the beach clubs and continue until after the sun rises. If you want to hang out in Mykonos Town then Scandinavian Bar and Down Under are two of the best spots for backpackers. The main clubs at Paradise Beach are Cavo Paradiso and Paradise Club, attracting big name DJ’s like Martin Garrix and Tiesto. You’re able to travel throughout the night between Mykonos Town and Paradise Beach by bus when the clubs are on.
