Madrid is an enchanting place and a city that really knows how to live. Few cities boast an artistic pedigree quite as high as Madrid’s. For centuries, Spanish royals showered praise and riches upon the finest artists of the day who’s art can now be seen all throughout the galleries of the city. Madrid has evolved into one of the richest culinary capitals of Europe. The city has embraced all the creativity and innovation of Spain’s gastronomic revolution. From tapas to the on-trend food that’s new to sit-down meals beneath centuries-old vaulted ceilings, eating in Madrid is a pleasure. Madrid nights are the stuff of legend and the city may have more bars than any other city on earth as well as a collection of storied cocktail bars and nightclubs that combine a hint of glamour with non-stop action. But that only goes some way to explaining the appeal of after-dark Madrid. Step out into the night-time streets in plenty of the neighborhoods and you’ll find yourself swept along with a tide of people, accompanied by a happy crowd intent on dancing until dawn. Madrid is a beautiful city that deserves at least a few days of your time if you choose to visit.

The Royal Palace of Madrid - The Royal Palace of Madrid is located in the middle of everything. The Cathedral, the Templo de Debod, and the Plaza Mayor are all within walking distance. Not to mention the stunning exterior and the detail of the many sculptures around the palace will captivate you at every turn. You are able to go inside and learn the history of the palace.

The Plaza Mayor - The Plaza Mayor is Madrid’s main square and a popular place to eat and relax. While walking this plaza, don’t miss the following: Madrid Town Hall, The Church of San Pedro el Real, and The Royal Basilica of San Francisco el Grand.

Museo del Prado - The Prado Museum is one of the world’s greatest art galleries. Its dazzling display of works by the great European masters is housed in an 18th-century building that opened as a museum in 1819.

Must Do

Hangout At Puerta Del Sol - Puerta del Sol is the heart of Madrid. This square is one of the busiest squares in the city with restaurants and shops catering for both locals and tourists. You can come here and shop during the day, or admire the beautiful architecture. At night the square turns into a big nightlife scene with many bars and clubs that will entertain you until morning.

Hangout at El Retiro Park - The main park of Madrid, this is the perfect place to take a rest during a sunny day. There is a large boating lake where you can hire a row boat. Also check out the the Forest of the Absent, and the Crystal Palace.

Real Madrid Soccer Match - If you want to see one of the best football teams in the world than grab a ticket for a game. The stadium is always full and the crowds are always wild.
